Oops ...........

From the local paper...
A WORCESTERSHIRE granny returning from a hospital appointment six miles from her home accidentally drove 300 miles to Scotland after missing a turn-off.


Mrs Johnson ended up getting caught in a diversion caused by roadworks so she continued *heading north on the M5 and the M6.

According to Scottish newspaper the Daily Record, police launched a search for the pensioner when her concerned family reported her as mssing.

Karen Maskell, her daughter, was shocked when officers told her Mrs Johnson had been taken in a couple in Larkhall

Sounds like something my late Mother would have done. She would have done it in record time as she was a very fast driver, even in her 80s!:

Wow that's quite a diversion I'm always moaning round here they divert you but assume you know where to go when the diversion ends. I can see me being in the headlines one day

Don't laugh a few years ago now I entered a roundabout called the six crossroads locally, got in the lane near the round about and couldn't get back over to get off. Went back round it five times before a kind white van driver let me get across !

Good grief Meg. Maybe time the lady had someone to take her to her appointments in future.
She must have been very befuddled and driven day and night surely.

I believe it. We have a roundabout in Canberra, it is huge.
I got stuck on it for a turn or two and lost orientation. Had to get off and check the map again.

We had to go to Swindon to pick up my son from a stag night a couple of years ago (don't ask). Hubby got stuck going round and round that Magic roundabout I think they call it. Poetry in motion he was.
