I compare it(threads) to fishing...throw in just enough bait to attract interest..then hook and play them.

Yes. Headlines get attention. Must admit though it can backfire on you such as one of my latest thread did with me: 'Being old is boring', in that a lot responded to the title instead of the actual content. From now on I intend to make sure the title isn't so emotive and more relevant.
