Nhs cyber attack!

There has been a cyber attack on several hospitals and Gp surgeries!
BBC breaking news just reported them.
Just goes to show how vulnerable we all are.
I can't do links on my phone, but this sounds serious, hackers demanding ransoms apparently.

Heard that on LBC too.

If it's been expected for some time then why were they not able to intervene ?

Yes I understand that not every terrorist act can be thwarted but ? makes you wonder if 'they' really have the intelligence.

They, like many organisations, have specialists with expertise in most things.

Every computer has a back door.....and everyone has their price.

Yes ... sounds like some/many hospitals have not updated their systems.

Is it due to chronic underfunding?

New reports say that it's spreading worldwide and businesses have been affected.

Ooooo my Bank has been 'done' too

Hi

Well, I am not long back from hospital and strangely enough my prescription was hand written and I had to take it down rather than it being sent down to the pharmacy.

Now beginning to wonder if this was the reason why?

Gonna make you all the more nervous now but one nuke (electromagnetic pulse (EMP) ) exploded high above America would knock out most of it's electrical grid apparently.

The world is becoming a smaller place to live in minute by minute.

Live Free or Die Hard (film) immediately sprang to mind.

The warnings have been there for many years.
