Really good Dave, especially the last one. OK to ask a techy question? Did you shoot in manual or shutter?

Ta

I prefer Shutter priority for panning shots. Typically somewhere between 1/125 and 1/80". Manual doesn't work well as the exposure changes for the different coloured cars and I'm happy to have aperture vary as long as exposure stays constant.

Between 1/125 and 1/80? Jeepers mate, that seems low, but I bow to your judgement and thank you. We have won a comp for the Brands BSB in July and I'll take the 150 - 600 ( possibly ) and might ask you more techy questions before that
