Dates that make you feel old.

Forget anniversaries, birthdays etc.

I just posted a Youtube link showing a scene from Gremlins.

When they say a golden oldie 40 years old and play a record I remember flinging myself round the house to !

Our local paper regularly runs features showing old photos of York, sometimes they show the 70s and 80s with some of the old shops that have now long gone, but I remember them as if it were yesterday

Forty years ago, I was listening to the great sounds of Black Sabbath, Deep Purple etc. Still listening to them now

I feel old and grumpy every time I hear a youngster talk about how magical the music of the 60s was. Yes there was some great music around but there was also a lot of bland rubbish. For every Beatles and Stones there was a Matt Monro and an Applejacks. For every Doors a Herman's Hermit. For every Dylan a (yuk) Donovan.
