I'm Opting Out of World War Three

That's enough for me now - all this chat about North Korea. I can't take anymore. Will they, won't they, we're all going to die, etc. There's hours of it around the clock.

And now we have Mrs May calling an election. Should she have done it? Why did she do it? Should she attend the debates?

And we've got years more of Brexit. Should it be hard? Should it be soft? Should it be scrambled?

But enough of me. What about you? Which debates are you sick to the back teeth of?

Scrambled brexit, that sounds like a good idea!
Or we could have a poached one!

I hate seeing so much human misery day after day
There are enough natural disasters to contend with without adding to it with conflict and war and greed.

If those in power had to spend just one day starving
Or under siege
Or under threat of being shot or bombed
Or as a fleeing refugee
Or aa a doctor in a hospital
Or as soldier on the ground

I think they might reconsider their options pretty quickly

Fortunately no thread is compulsory on this site, so we can move to others if we don't like one. Or for those who are in the mood to argue, they can stay and put their point of view.

Re: I'm Opting Out of World War Three

The whole lot ! We have been forced into a position of taking more interest in politics and world affairs over the last 15 years, by every corner we turn. The press ,the TV ,the radio and all it has done is make us into very negative people. We have this descending and crushing blanket covering us all, and it's becoming a bit difficult to find a corner that allows a bit of fresh air in.

What happened to the happy care free days, when we could enjoy life without all the pressures ? I think we may have forgotten how to. do that .
