Traffic wardens are about today

I was surprised to see a warden this morning taking car registrations in my street. Do they not observe a public holiday?

On behalf of anyone who gets a ticket today, I wish the wardens a Happy Easter.

It's a big cash payday for councils the nation over on bank holidays.
Simple though isn't it...just park where you're supposed to. Easy.

I don't own or drive a car, so traffic wardens do not hold any terrors for me.

I went to get my mum a laptop a few weeks back...it had been ordered so a straightforward pick-up....or so I thought.

Parked up,checked for wardens...none...great.

PC World staff were trying to sell me whatever they could......returned to car, no ticket

Two weeks later an invoice(pretending to be a parking ticket)
arrived in the post.

I counted ten tickets on cars this morning. Normally, people observe the rules and seeing a ticket dished out is quite rare, but they obviously thought they were safe today.

Council owned car parks seem to count Bank Holiday Mondays as a Sunday with free parking in most areas....it's the privateley owned land and landlords that use private car parking companies that are a problem.
