Spring Is Sprung

The merry whir of lawnmowers heralds Spring and the hedgerows are a riot of colour; red fertiliser bag, blue fertiliser bag etc.

Local bookies have it down as "Purwell to crack a smile by the end of summer" as 5/1 against.

Re: Spring Is Sprung

Round here spring is the starting up of motorbikes after the winter stop and seeing all those men in tight leathers whizzing past on big powerful machines..Love it

It does also mean the German invasion begins in ernest too, they arrive in huge great camper vans to fill up our camp sites.

Re: Spring Is Sprung

I walked to the local shop this evening and all I could smell was bbq's!

A sure sign the weather is improving. Not set to last though apparently. Get's nippy again next week!

Re: Spring Is Sprung

Hi

Spring is definitely here.

All the agricultural contractors are out, working under lights at nights.

Thousands of tons of pig and chicken manure being ploughed in.

My windows are firmly shut.

Ah, the nice healthy smells of the countryside Swims. Sprays, muck spreading, and slurry . .
I remember it well.
