Now is this a kick up the ass for Merkal and all her cronies.
Cadburys was taken away from Britain a few years back when they built a new factory in Poland.
Which they probably got EU grants for by the way.
Now the US parent company are returning it to the UK.
That's good news I've noticed chocolate is getting dearer & good for jobs over here - I am sure everyone would love to work in a chocolate factory.
I don't think there is much of a market for it in mainland Europe. They prefer more rich and creamy recipes.
Twirls are my favourite. I hope this means they will be cheaper and that they stop pretending 11 single bars are a bargain when reduced vs 8 two finger bars.
It's good news but they've still got work to do to woo me back from Galaxy etc.
Last time i was given a box of milk tray i was not impressed!
The box was flimsy and tacky, the chocs were thinner and smaller and the taste was vastly inferior.
"The lady loves milk tray", no she doesn't not like she used to!!!!
I am a chocoholic I'm afraid so my favourite chocolate is whatever make I happen to be eating at the time, although given a choice Cadbury would be in my top three.
However I digress, good news indeed and very welcome.
The recipes will never be the same imo. This will just be a marketing ploy to try and get people to buy back into the brand. Not good enough. They sold out to foreign interests. Sod 'em.
