Oops
Hi
A large house has collapsed in London.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017...-rennovations/
I do hope they were insured well.
Insurance Companies can get quite good at not paying out, especially if the rules have not been followed.

Re: Oops
A very costly mistake, if they had not got planning permission in place.
Or maybe they wanted to rebuild and this was the way to do it.

Re: Oops
Love reading the comments.
Looks like it's not the owner who needs the insurance but the building contractor?

Hi
Depends on the arrangements I would think.
If the owner was contract managing the job himself and had not put the notices in he could be in trouble.

Re: Oops
sumfink doesn't smell right.
I'd bet.....if I were a betting man...that this was no accident and a way of getting around planning.

Re: Oops
Stupid people, but as mentioned by Shirley, maybe they do want to rebuild it in a different way.
