Days Out

had a lovely day today - my sister took me out to lunch then we went to see Murder in the Red Barn (very funny!) at the Queens Theatre in Hornchurch.
It`s good to have days out - what do you like to do?

Re: Days Out

Pleased you enjoyed your day out...Not really a 'going out' person except for special family occasions, but always nice to hear that others have enjoyed their day out

Re: Days Out

I am so glad you enjoyed your day out claireanddaisy. It's the simple things I enjoy, like a good mooch around an antiques fair in the sunshine, a visit to a big garden centre and bringing something home to enjoy. Or a visit to a wildlife centre with the grandchildren. Sets me up for the rest of the week.

In the Winter I like to go to the theatre when something good is playing, the Wife and me really enjoy it.

Re: Days Out

A visit to the big weekly flea market, or to the farmers market in the Summer is always fun. Or a dinner out with friends.

You can not beat a good day out for lifting your spirits and giving you some vigor to face life.
We often walk the fells to see how mother nature is changing her looks.

I enjoy Pennington Flash near Wigan, not far from Manchester. You can sit and just watch everything, Birds, People and sail boats, very gentile day out or just for an hour to re-charge the batteries.
