As we get older

Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.

Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.

Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can be recalled by their maker.

When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.

Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue.

We all travel different ways through life yet we all come to the same journey's end.

The money's no better in retirement but the hours are!

Re: As we get older

TBH - I think I prefer this...

Warning - When I Am an Old Woman I Shall Wear Purple
By Jenny Joseph

When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple
with a red hat that doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
and satin candles, and say we've no money for butter.
...I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
and pick the flowers in other people's gardens
and learn to spit.

I always read the last paragraph of a book first so I can't be cheated out of it if I drop dead halfway through. And no, it does not spoil it for me.

I keep seeing this old fella in the mirror who looks like my Dad, but he's passed on and I don't owe him any money, so why is he haunting me?.

Re: As we get older

that moment when you see your dad?

I was at the docs this afternoon to discuss my health and Jenny`s eventual death report.

I had my BP ,heart beat and weight checked.

I have lost well over a stone in the last year-and why?

I looked in a mirror and saw my dad-not something one ever wishes to see

You might think you look like your dad, but you look like 'you' too! and you have a different sort of heart - that makes you unique
