My lad had some bad news over the weekend. His pal was killed.
A pal of his was killed by a drink driver.He wsa the same age as my lad.....it just makes you realise how vulnerable we are.
Very, very sad.

Losing a mate when you are young is really hard to deal with, so I am sure your son is feeling bad. Lets hope you can get home soon and chat with him, because mates are a big part of your life, at that age and you certainly miss them.

The driver only lives about 1 minute from the accident..just shows that a few seconds either way and there'd be no crash, no accident and no death.

Sorry to hear of this, Terry.Despite the known penalties and all the advertising in an attempt to stop drink driving, we still hear far too many stories of the consequences.
No consolation, I'm sure, but I am still of the opinion that penalties should be far more severe. Killing someone through drink driving should, in my opinion, carry the death penalty as should murder.
I know many will disagree with this, but that's how I feel.
