Spring clean.

My mother used to do a Spring clean, the whole house from top to bottom, in those days i can understand it. We had coal fires so after a long Winter a thorough room by room heavy duty cleaning was carried out during March / April, it was traditional.

I'm about to give my nest a deep clean, hopefully it will attract a passing male!
I think it's a Spring thing!

Re: Spring clean.

We've just spent a week clearing out our loft. 23 years of, "What shall we do with this?" - "Oh, put it in the loft, it might come in handy!" necessitated a major throw out! I couldn't believe how many computers and printers I'd got through in that time - to say nothing of beds, mattresses and Christmas decorations!!

Re: Spring clean.

We have a big clean for new year, usually after all the visitors and decs and cards come down we like to see new year in as we want to continue.

Re: Spring clean.

Usually have a spring clean but having sold the house, we are busy clearing the garage. The stuff belonging to my daughter is unbelievable. She'll need an extension to her place to accommodate it all.

Will have a clean up before we move out, though.

Re: Spring clean.

I still do a spring clean when the weather improves and I can have all the widows open to dry newly washed walls and paintwork.

I also wash all the curtains, it is lovely to have everything clean and fresh

Re: Spring clean.

I do a spring clean (to freshen after winter nesting) ... and a mini Autumn clean (to prepare a nice snug winter nest).

I also change my duvets and curtains to match the season.
Fresh green or cool blues for summer and warm colours for winter.
