The Vote

Midterm elections are coming to the United States next Tuesday. They are important! I'm blessed to have friends that feel free to voice their opinion, regardless of their accuracy. I'd fight for their right to publically voice their opinions, even if they are wrong, wrong, wrong! LOL

They will probably lose control of the majority of the House and still control the Senate. That can be a good thing because maybe the Republicans will get involved in helping our nation again instead of just blocking anything the Democrats put forward.

I too am afraid the Democrats will lose control of the House, but hopefully keep control of the Senate. Those fringe Tea Party candidates are a wild card ... who really knows? Something needs to be done to end the gridlock and get the legislators moving to work on the problems facing us. It took eight years to get in this mess, no one should have expected things being back to normal after two!! Especially with the Republicans being the party of NO!

Sorry for the rant; feel very strongly about this.

From this side of the pond I find the 'Tea Party' pressure group very scary indeed, especially as that horrible creature, Sarah Palin, is their leading light! If Palin and her extreme right-wingers ever made it into office, God help us all, I think Europe would find it very hard to have a friendly relationship with the US.

What we really need in the USA is a strong third part. In every election I really don't see anyone I'd like to vote for. The exception was president Obama. I feel the damage to our country comes from senior polititians forcing their party members to get in line to block the opposition party. That's gridlock and helps nobody. Sarah Palin represents just one executive vote. Without backing in congress & the senate she can do nothing.
