A big shout out to Morrisons

Or specifically the employee who located the offending receipt.

I usually get vouchers on my More card, usually some extra points, but in February I had two for an extra 1000 points. I had already had to enquire about the first lot (I have an app for my account and can check), as when the voucher was swiped, it just took 1p off the amount at the till. So when I did a Message with Morrisons More, they added the 1000 to my account.

I then used the second voucher recently, but had shredded the receipt. Messaged today, giving a full and precise explanation, and I gave the dates I shopped in store, and after a short while the employee Mark came back with having found the offending receipt!! He credited my account with the 1000, PLUS an extra 1000 for having to chase it up with them!

Checked my app immediately, and yes, there are the points. So this means the next time I swipe my card I will straight away get my £5 voucher, instead of having to wait till they accummulate to the 5000 needed.

I remember seeing that second 1p off the total amount, at the time, and casually mentioned it to the cashier, but have been checking my app since, waiting for the points credit.

Reeeeeeeezult!! *high five*

Yes, good for you Morrison's.

Only to be expected, of course, as Ken Morrison was a Yorkshireman! He died this month, BTW.

Re: A big shout out to Morrisons

I lost my Morrisons reward card when my purse [ including cards ] was stolen last year. I went to one of their team in store & explained what had happened , she just said I would have to apply for a new card , but any credits on my lost card were lost & I would not be able to claim my points. Since then I havent bothered to apply for a new card & dont shop much at Morrisons any more

I do like Tpin's post, but a pity about poor ole Ken!

It's probably my favourite supermarket.
