Timing is everything

We all know my carpets have recently been replaced and my 3 piece refurbished. And, a couple of days ago, I changed the bedding on the spare double bed.

Yesterday I get this phone call at 18.15...`We have a power cut,no lighting,no heating and cannot cook(storm Doris) can we stay with you??

And a very pleasant evening it was. Mind you I was up and about before 6 this morning---I reckoned...two females in my house and one will have to go to school best I nab the bathroom before they get up.

I even did the `good father` bit by walking teenage daughter to the bus stop while mum had an extra snooze.

You are a Gem OG , worth your weight in Gold , not many would do what you did , I hope the two ladies appreciate you and your home .
And it must make you feel wanted which we all need to feel now and then ..
