Fully supportive of her.

Hard as nails, willing to take on the spot decisions to protect us and take the consequences.

We need more like her.

I like strong independent women.

She exudes sex appeal as far as I am concerned.

Scary someone can make a huge mistake like that and still rise to the top. Any other job it could never happen you'd never get the chance after that.

I have a modicum of admiration for, anyone who would do a job that takes credentials I don't possess, regardless of gender, whether the job is done well or otherwise.

Your decisions are only as good as the intelligence you receive. Cressida Dick was given intelligence by police on the ground that De Menenez fitted the description of one of the perpetrators of the failed suicide bombing attempts of the previous day. He was seen coming out of the address which had been found on a gym membership card in a bag containing one of the failed bombs left by the terrorists. Dick's order was that the suspect was to "be detained as soon as possible" not to "assassinate" him.

It was a tragic situation - of that there is no doubt, but unfortunately, when terrorists are fully prepared to kill and maim innocent people on our streets, those charged with our protection will sometimes over-react with tragic consequences.

Couldn't agree more - although I don't think that can be laid at the door of Dick. In fact there is a theory that those "police" actually involved in the death were actually Special Forces seconded to the police, which might explain their rather "gung ho" approach to the whole situation.

IF they were SF then their approach to a terrorist threat is far from Gung-Ho......they are far more professional and able to deal with it than any police officer.
