A driverless flying drone.

Hi

I have got to do this, a driverless flying drone, one passenger plus luggage.

Star Wars is here.

I hope the software is foolproof. "Driver, are you going the correct way"?
Oops, no driver. ?

Sounds fantastic. Unfortunately, illegal in most countries.

But perhaps one day... ?

What a wonderful way of avoiding traffic jams that would be: landing and parking in a space not much bigger than a conventional parking space.

The way technology is advancing, I believe that one day this could become a normality.

If the drone relies on a radio signal from the ground it can never be foolproof. There has never been a transmission that cannot be Jammed, Distorted or Hacked into.

At 100 mph, that's faster than Speedy Gonzales.

Very true.
Every day I am reading in the forums of drones that have 'flown away'. Many of these small ones are controlled by smart phones, and people do not realised that the signal range is limited.

I would love to come back in say 100 years time and see what it's like, I reckon we wouldn't recognise the place...technology moves at such a pace.

Good point Summer, can you imagine what our Great Grandparents would think if the returned.....And that would only be the last hundred years or so and so much has advanced in the last twenty years....
