Just by cutting down on fuel and deliveries.

My mum's doctor emailed a prescription to Boots on Thursday.
Only two items.....we've just received the oramorph but no ear drops...."They'll be on the other van" I'm informed by the driver.

Yes local pharmacy does the same I think they get items to patients as quick as they can hence the doubling up on vans etc. Doing their best but must cost more as you say.

Yes, our local Boots offers the same service. However, I always go and collect my regular repeat medication myself when I do for the Saturday paper.

As above..... their delivery service is the pitts.

They always need chasing up even though they've been dealing with my mum's prescriptions for years.

That's not what I've found. My prescription is usually ready within a few days, and that includes my requesting it from the GP.

If you're not happy with their delivery service, go and collect it yourself. Don't be lazy.

I work.....sometimes I leave the house at 0700 and don't get back until 1900 or later......not so easy.

Also they are controlled drugs and the prescriptions are monthly and are strict on dates they are issued.
