3 network upgrades to 4G but that's bad for me

Today is the third day that I have no signal on my mobile phone, on Tuesday I checked online and it said they were upgrading on Wednesday but didn't say what the upgrade was.
It still isn't working today so just went online to check why and it says they have upgraded to 4G and to check if my phone is compatible
No it isnt compatible so now no one can ring me until I buy a new phone
Aint happy

Hi Meep, you don't need a new phone, if it's 4g compatible, just a new SIM. Check online to see if your phone will work on the 4g network, most modern phones do.

4g only applies to the data (internet).
3g usually stays in operation as well.
Calls and texts should not be affected.

That's a blow.

If your existing phone is Android based and you have a Google account at least all your contacts will be saved to your account and will be downloaded automatically to your new phone if you enter your Google account details into it. You can also get SMS backup from Google Play Store to back up all your text messages on your SIM and then save them back again to your new phone's SIM.
