Holidays

Ive just booked a holiday.
It shouldnt have been difficult but it had to be not too far away and be a place where the animals are welcome ..

I found somewhere nice but the week I wanted in September was fully booked!

Now we are going a week later..

Does everyone book their holidays so soon? Im still recovering from Christmas and New year

Re: Holidays

Weird I know, but I have never liked going on holiday. I hate being out of my usual routines.

Re: Holidays

Depends on where we are going, Cass. We book long haul well in advance. We tend to hold back and look for the best deal with short haul.

We are looking at a maximum of a four hour flight for this year, not found anything yet. Although we have a weeks holiday booked for a short break in this country, in May.

Re: Holidays

I tend to go on weekend coach trips and wait until the prices have been reduced usually about four weeks before departure .... I had my first weekend away last weekend to Harrogate. Of course as I need a single room I have to take what's available or not bother.

I've booked for the Isle of Wight in March (brrrr ... ) Monday to Friday .... a bargain at £109 including single room supplement and also a weekend on 7th April to visit Bath and Glastonbury.

I try to get away about once a month and managed to have 17 short breaks last year

Re: Holidays

We always book ours in November for the Steampacket Ferry Crossing to the Isle of Man. We have to do this every year as the price of the crossing goes up by £250 or more as the seasons progress.
When we get there we camp on a lovely site in our Modified van as we have our own bed, toilet, Awning etc.. This is for the Motor Grand Prix races in August...
