Horse soring
One unfortunate consequence of the Trump election is that some proposed rlaws have been put on hold .One of these is hoses soring .
An appalling practice inflicted on Tennessee walking horses that makes their front feet sore so they throw them out .
They also nail oversize weights called stacks onto their feet
Can you believe it .

Muddy, I have never heard of 'soring' but it sounds horrendous

I can't for the life of me see why this practice is not illegal?What's the matter with the veterinary professionals for a start, let alone the governing body of the show standards and rules.
I can't describe the intense feelings I have for anyone who happily commits animal cruelty, no matter what species.

Unfortunately these horses -The Tennessee Walking horse have another cruel practice inflicted on them . They used to have have the bone in their tail broken and reset in order to make it appear that they carry it high.I think this is against the law now although cutting the muscles and setting them in a tail brace is still practised owners also use metal or plastic cruppers to make the horses tail stick up .
It's hardly surprising that the show outfit for Tenesesse walking class riders is that worn by plantation owners in the time of the slave trade.
This horse is wearing stacks on its front feet and has had its tail set .
