Re: Gordon Kaye

Kaye was 75, I thought he would have been older. I enjoyed 'Allo 'Allo.

Re: Gordon Kaye

The Daily Express had him as being born in 1974!

I get the impression that their journalists are equally as adept at numeracy as they are at literacy.

Re: Gordon Kaye

That is so sad. RIP Gordon and thank you for such good entertainment in Allo Allo.

Do you remember that terrible storm that hit UK in 1990 ? It was called "The Burns' Day Storm of 1990". Gordon was driving his car and was struck through the windscreen by a plank of wood . He sustained severe head injuries, and as I recall he nearly died then. I believe he never really did much acting after that terrible accident.

Thinking of all those loved ones he has left behind.

Yes, I remember that. I also remember him being interviewed about it on television and declaring that the wood, having struck him in the forehead, made him "look like some sort of Dalek".

Yes, a sad loss, especially as he was a fellow Tyke.
