The Spanish are at it again

Surely a very weird festival even for Spain. A man dressed as a 'scape goat' and wearing a devil mask is bombarded by up to 15,000 turnips. It looks painful to me and what a waste of food.

At least it doesn't involve cruelty to animals as do some of their tradition festivals.

At first I thought it could be dangerous for the victim, as bad as being stoned to death.
But I noticed in the last picture, that he is wearing some sort of protective suit.

We are thinking of starting the same thing here in Prees.

We have loads of turnips, the only question is who would we hurl them at,

The village is split equally between Blair and Juncker.

Oh I saw that ,but didnt realise what it was about. Still better to bombard this person than torment / kill animals

I love the Spanish........the best two things to do whilst holidaying in Spain....siesta and fiesta(not the car)
