Aren't clouds lovely ?

Had to walk up to Asda early this morning - for a blood test !

The sky was just beautiful.

Re: Aren't clouds lovely ?

I love clouds too, very though provoking although I prefer the light wispy ones on a sunny day.

Lovely photos, but it looks really cold and icy on the first photo.

Re: Aren't clouds lovely ?

I believe that a real photographer would never focus directly on the sun - but I could not resist. The second photo is the empty car park at Adsa with the sun just rising over the trees and shining through the trolley shelter. It was so atmospheric - must try and work it into a story !!

Re: Aren't clouds lovely ?

Ever the optimist I have reproduced a poem I wrote recently.
CLOUDS

Last night the clouds spoke to me
You might well ask how can that be?
I saw them in a different light
As the day turned slowly into night.

Last night the clouds spoke to me
High in the air moving effortlessly
What unseen power holds them there
I gaze in wonder up in the air

Last night the clouds they spoke to me
High in the sky and floating free
Grazing idly like a flock of sheep
Unseen shepherd has watch to keep

The clouds spoke of wonder and scale
Of human efforts that fade and pale
When compared to creations might
“Where were you when I created light”

The clouds went on the truth to display
The sun comes up new every day
No amount of fretting by your self
Can ever bring you peace and health

I hope the clouds will speak tomorrow
Explain to me the worlds joy and sorrow
Why it keeps on turning then
Repeats itself, again & again
