Rant Alert ! Why cannot someone ...

... invent a tinopener that actually works properly.

So far I have tried one of these -


and ripped my fingers to ribbons !

Then one of these -


which worked two or three times - then began missing bits !

Followed by -


Practically needed a degree in higher mechanics to work that one out - and it still didn't work.

Help - can someone please recommend a reliable tin opener.

I don't really use much in tins but Chloe has tinned food sometimes ..

St , I got a kenwood tin opener for Christmas from my kids . It's electric , opens tins , magnetic lid holder , it opens bottles and sharpens knifes . I'm gonna try and upload a photo so hope it appears . I like it , easy to use , though a bit big

I use an electric one it's really good makes the lid safe and turns over the edge of the can to make that safe too.

Opening things is fine usually for me..
It's the subsequent lacerations that are the problem!

Thank you for your help everyone - looks of food for thought there - I had not considered electric before - but some of those sound good !
