What Is It About January?

....That people spend less, get depressed, get ill, even die or commit suicide more than any other month in the year!
I am finding lately on this forum that people are more grumpy and on the defensive more than usual!
So, l ask.. Why is this so and why is January such a negative month?

I feel like I'm hibernating atm. Yes, I've popped down to the allotment a few times, and try for a walk now and then, but I'd rather stay indoors, if I'm honest. I know it's not healthy, so push myself to get out. I'm hating it, so you may be right.
