LOL. Each to their own Swimmy, he must have been quite a character to have such a funeral organised. He certainly won't be forgotten in a hurry.

Somewhere in Surrey is a grave and it tells that the gentleman is buried upside down head first ! I think it's box hill.

Re: An Unusual Funeral

That's great, best funeral we ever attended everyone had to dress as Star Trek characters, it was so like our friend to turn up dressed as a Star Trek captain it was a lovely way to remember him.

Re: An Unusual Funeral

Each to their own ... I suppose it depends whether you consider a funeral to be a mourning of someone's death or a celebration of their life.

50 pole dancers? Cheeky chap.

Super glue?
Or they practised earlier on local transport by pressing the bell for the next bus stop and getting up ready , balancing complete with shopping bags, waiting to disembark. I do it all the time

Re: An Unusual Funeral

Anyone spot this in the article?

But hiring dancers and even strippers for funerals is not that unusual in parts of Taiwanese society, in which some practise a folk religion that believes in "entertaining" spirits.

Plural? Spirits not just the deceased?
I've a vision now of all the en route local graveyard's frisky ghosts coming out for a frisky peep show.
