The QUEEN.

When I was a young man, often to be found on a Sunday evening at the local cinema, at the end of the feature we all stood up while the QUEEN was played.
Some scallywaggs left early (UJ?) so as to avoid this.

My English mother expected us to stand for the National Anthem during the Queen's Speech on Christmas Day.

I think it is undeniable that lack of pride in our country and the declining strength of our country seem to be going hand in hand.

I wonder which is the cause and which is the consequence.

Our opposite neighbour has a flag pole & flies the Union flag most of the time, but not for the Queen, he flies it for the football, if any team lose he puts it at half mast. He's a nut case.

I have to admit, her prolonged illness has been worrying me! but it's now known she has had the usual after cold 'hacking cough'. Yes, I think a few of us know just what she's going through!!
