Gym membership cost

Went to check out the local council run activity centre.

For two people including over 50 discount it's £56 pm plus £40 administration fee .

This includes use of gym ,workout classes and swimming pool.

I thought it sounded expensive but I am out of touch with stuff in the Uk

Is this good or bad?

Re: Gym membership cost

I have paid similar, the downsize being that I wasn't actually aware you had to go there and work out!

Re: Gym membership cost

My workout cost nothing. Up in the morning, wash and dress the OH, make breakfast, feed dog, wash up, take dog out, do laundry, (in machine). Feed fish in pond, clean buggies cage,
On bike to the bank and back.
Are you worn out yet? That's all before lunch.

Re: Gym membership cost

My gym membership is free, I run/walk/cycle to the gym then return straight home.

I have looked at the prices for the council run leisure centre and currently 3 month membership for pensioners is $273 or £45 per month
