My mum., as some of you may know, is quite poorly so anything she wants (within reason) I try to get.
Well, she had a yearning for some chicken nuggets which is strange as she usually steers clear of such establishments.
This yearning was at unreasonable o'clock(about 0100hrs on Friday)
As the ever dutiful son I drove to the local 24hr establishment (always looking for an excuse to drive my new bat mobile).
20 McNuggets, fries and a chocolate milkshake, please.
Got home, fed my mum a couple of nuggets and went to the kitchen to put the kettle on.
As I did so I heard my mum choking.....run through to the lounge to find her coughing and spluttering. ...as we all know choking can be a bit of a panic but to a person who is quadriplegic it must be very distressing.
I leaned her forward, rubbing her back until she dispelled the offending object......this is what we found......a gold tooth.
So much for quality control.
Now I know the tooth is more valuable than the meal but its not quite the nugget we expected.
I know it might sound daft Tpin, but I suppose it wasn't her own, was it?
If not, you really need to take it further with McDonalds as I'm sure you know.
Glad you're Mum's alright though - it's lucky you were there.
I agree with everybody Tpin, and tickets for free MacDonald meals are not compensation!
I would write to their head office, explaining the course of events, and asking for an explanation of how this could happen. This could have caused serious problems for your mum, and if you don't get an adequate response, I am sure it is a story the tabloid press will be happy to deal with.
Keep the tooth as proof, but provide them with a photo!
If it has fallen from somebody's mouth, I wonder how many people would stop eating MacDonalds!
