Stuart Graham John Burridge.

After spending Christmas day on my own I was looking forward to entertaining a couple of friends to the full works today. I had just put the turkey in the oven when my phone rang-it was my eldest nephew. His dad,my brother was found dead yesterday. The news was kept until today so as not to ruin mum`s Christmas day. I have cancelled my day as I do not feel in the mood to entertain.

I spoke to Stuart last on his birthday 23rd December and he sounded cheerful enough but we all knew his heart was not strong-he was 69.

It`s strange. We were never that close-he went to the public school,me just a grant assisted grammar. But we shared things-I hate father more than you do`-no you don`t he was beating me up before you were born`

I will miss him.
