Welcome to Over50sForum! The site for people over 50 to chat, make friends, discuss, share, and generally be part of something that's fun and friendly :)
I never actually introduced myself when joining OFF which is typical of me, I always just steam in with reading the instructions.
Anyway, if you had to re-introduce yourself to the forum, would you be able to say the same things that you said the first time or has the influence of others changed you in any way?
I did exactly the same Longdong!
Joined end of December then ploughed on for a few weeks before I realised I should have politely introduced myself. So I made an apologetic belated one!
Can't change that and wouldn't anyway.
People probably realised a scatter brain had joined the ranks! That probably wasn't a bad thing
It will soon be 8 years since I introduced myself as a founder member and all the other members knew me already so I didn't need to say anything really ..
I can't remember if I introduced myself or not and I think it took me a couple of months to post....but I am glad I did.
It wasn't easy starting to chat to a bunch of strangers ( I am sure most newcomers find that) , but within a few weeks I felt like I belonged here.
Sorry folks, but that means I am not going anywhere... so you are stuck with me!
Don't think the introduction matters either way, the majority of New Members introduce themselves, and that is it
Speaking personally, this place hasn't changed my stance, it has reinforced it.
