Would You do this?

Would you make your family pay £60 to you after inviting them over for christmas dinner?

They ought to be ashamed of themselves.

We're at my daughters tomorrow for Christmas dinner, will take a bottle and have supplied the beef, they bought the turkey, will take my gluten free xmas pud. She would never ask for money - we're invited to eat with them not buy our own food - ridiculous!

Like Doc. I would rather eat at home with my Family than go to a relative who wanted payment for an invited meal at her house. In a resteraunt I could understand that, but not a private home.

Re: Would You do this?

I would say don't ask guests if you can't afford to feed them.

It's a nice gesture to take something to drink perhaps, but money - No.
