Watching videos.

I've got a cupboard full of VHS video tapes which we haven't watched for years - ever since having a DVD player/recorder.

I decided I'd get a cheap & simple video player (not recorder)- just for looking at all my videos.

I can't get one anywhere - it seems they've stopped making them. All that is available are other peopled old reconditioned ones which I don't really want!

How do other people view their favourite videos?

I have a dvd/vhs combi. Not used it for a long time, but the plan was to transfer the vhs to dvd. Been too blimming lazy!

I expect it's a sign of advancing technology that vhs players will no longer be made. Have you tried getting a second hand one from somewhere?

We ended up chucking our tapes out sadly when our last player died we couldn't get another. Most have been replaced by DVDs now but it's sad the waste of having to throw them away.

That looks a handy site Nom, personally I have bought quite a few reconditioned electronics of different types on ebay which operated perfectly.

I believe there is a VHS to DVD convertor, i my problem is my large obscure record collection, i need to convert it to digital or buy a new record deck.
