The Social Network
I just watched "The Social Network" movie dealing with the birth of Facebook. I'm a member of Facebook so I was interested in this depiction of how a nerdy college programmer can go from obscurity to billionaire virtually overnight.
I walked out of the movie with a bad taste in my mouth because I didn't know what the lead character did to achieve success. He was a pathetic creature in my opinion, with no social skills himself. He drove away the few friends he had due to his arrogance and lack of loyalty. He was easily influenced by outside forces that only wanted to use his talents to achieve personal wealth.
If the facts depicted in this movie are true then that instant billionaire must now be very lonely indeed. Money can't buy you happiness.
