this made me smile

On TV theere is an advert for a chip fryer which only needs a drop of oil. I said to Sue I would buy her the fryer.

Sue came out with the classic "I only cook the occassional odd chip, so don't need one"

Of course with my mind it went into overdrive. There was I asking myself "How long would it take to cook the odd chip individually, let alone a plateful?

Think I might have starved to death by the time the last chip was cooked.

No it usually ends up in the back of a cupboard because it takes too long to assemble and clean

Oh I don't know - I bought the wife a fridge once. You should have seen her face light up when she opened it.

If hubby bought me a chip fryer for Christmas, I would fry him in it.

Odd chips???? I have some from the casino.

Re: this made me smile

MANY MOONS ago, I purchased a lovely teak 2 seater garden chair for my dear wife aka nurse Gillian.

I was rather taken aback when she whispered in my ear
" When do I get time to sit in the garden?"

I thought it uncharacteristically churlish of her
