Good morning Tuesday 22nd

Good morning fellow members cold and grey here.
Our walk had a different prospect to the countryside today , the fields are flooded and look like lakes and we were walking on a narrow strip of land between the stream which had turned into a raging torrent of water and the newly formed lakes.

The poor sheep were huddled together in a corner of one field trying to avoid the lakes.

I am making olive bread this morning, the olives were so buttery and delicious I ate some while stoning them so hope there will be enough for the bread.

We are lucky so far just surface water, after all that rain yesterday and overnight thought the fields would be flooded.

Looking out of our window too Meg the fields have patches of flooding here as well.. Anyway it's a little brighter today!

Morning everyone, a much better morning here but lots of standing water around from the deluge yesterday...

MrsB has gone to the garden centre with a neighbour for a walk around the Xmas display, so I'm making chicken and leek pie and mash for when she gets back..

buenas dias all. After some fairly light overnight rain it´s mostly bright and sunny again this morning, no sign that it rained at all. I can´t go anywhere this morning, we have to wait for a phone call telling us we can collect the new car. When they say "morning" here it could mean any time at all ! Afternoon means any time up to 9 p.m., but you get used to it.

I hope the weather improves for you all in UK and you don´t all end up with webbed feet. Have a pleasant day all.

Well been and had the eye test at specsavers to see if i can get my driving licence back. Think I must have failed the field vision test as I missed a dot on the screen just the one.. The lady said they normally run the test 3 times but in my case she said it was not necessary. The letter test with both eyes was ok but not each eye seperately, my right eye let me down.

So it looks as if Ishall never be allowed to drive again. The good news is it doesn't look as if i shall be going blind

The freeze has passed at last, we now have gale force winds

Realspead, that's bad news. Mum has lost vision in one eye, she's still allowed to drive


Any ways not a lot happening here although I'm looking forward to the cinema tonight. Half price Tuesday's and steak night in wetherspoons, I know how to live it up

I don't know the actual result they would not tell me, I have to wait for the DVLA to inform me, I can only assume. I can't understand how your mother can pass and it looks as if I am going to fail
