Barack Obamas final world tour

In his final world tour as outgoing President he has warned, whilst talking in Greece, of the dangers of increased 'crude' nationalism or tribalism as a way of protecting national identities above that of multicultural living. Is there a message for UK here??

It's noticeable how all those who think multiculturalism is a jolly good idea are usually sufficiently far up the greasy pole not to be affected by it

When you do surveys in the (usually run down & deprived) areas where immigrants have settled, the enthusiasm falls off considerably

I think most people are tribal, birds of a feather and all that. Multiculturalism is, in reality, just a utopian dream and nothing more.

Hi

Multiculturalism has different meanings in different Countries.

The way we do it here is a disaster.

Fat chance of multiculturalism taking off in US when the President's wife is mentioned thus...

"It will be refreshing to have a classy, beautiful, dignified first lady in the White House. I'm tired of seeing a Ape in heels," Ms Taylor wrote.

Ms Taylor from a small town called Clay, was cheered by her Mayor, "just made my day!".

She has now resigned

I am surprised that you think the US doesn't understand multiculturalism when it has just elected black president for 8 years. IMO they understand it well but too many don't accept it. They never have...racism s passed down cross the dinner table.

But as for his mention of the dangers of populist isolationism and closing up in the face of "the other" I agree with him. The ideals of the west contain freedom an justice for all...not just for those who were born in my country. Mrs. Merkel tried to tell Donald that.
But I am afraid we will be living through years of fear, blame and resentment and that means finding hiding places from where you can shoot the stranger. The huge danger there is the resurgence of fascism...some similarities between early Mussolini and Trump are quite disturbing.

Just an aside,it has been noted that Mr. Obama is not doing a grand final lap in the UK...home of the special relationship. But IS visiting Germany...his special ally. That may indicate the shift in power and perception in other western countries about this side of the pond.

This is clearly the on-going and clear agenda milestone of the EU/global elitists whose fervent aim is to establish a One World Government and One world Currency which would see them in ultimate power, rulers of the planet, unchallengeable, ruthless dictators.

To achieve that goal/end game they HAVE to first abolish the notion of pride in one's country. They are labelling it "Nationalism" and doing all they can to make that term an un-PC and outlawed word.

There is nothing whatsoever wrong in being proud of one's country. But being so means you are unlikely to welcome Borg like assimilation into a "nothing" one world collective.

It starts with the EU. To get everyone to shake off their pride in their individual countries (the barrier to turning everyone into European robots), they have to engage in the psychological brainwashing of the people. They are, as per the norm, telling people what they should think, rather than encouraging people to think for themselves.

This programming/conditioning is already in full flow in schools/education. The kids are already coming out saying:

"I'm not British, I am European"

The kids were even happy to go protesting in the streets about their disappointment with the Brexit decision because of this kind of conditioning and sadly it also came with a more disgusting side when the kids marched with placards saying "Old people please just die".

We need to stop the process of subversion of vulnerable young people but that's a whole other topic.

The attempted abolition of Nationalism, pride in one's country, belief in one's country, empathy with its heritage and with the 1000s who died to preserve our freedoms is a complete sham that anyone even partially awake should be able to see plainly.

It is a stepping stone to the total removal of your identity, your heritage, your ancestry and your customs and traditions.
It is your emasculation, your neutering, your purposeful deprogramming so that you will become a "nothing" entity, an unimportant "European" who will sing to the new song sheet of EU dominance, and the police state that will surely follow.

As the weeks and months now go by, make a note of just how many key figures keep disparaging the term Nationalism. Not just politicians but note too all the key pop stars and film stars who are quite clearly a part of the elitist Common Purpose machine. There to steal the hearts and minds of your children and make them compliant slaves, perpetually in debt, knowing no better. It is up to us to properly teach the youngsters who they are, what their heritage is, why so many people fought and died. It is up to us to show them how they are being duped at every turn by a corrupt media and a corrupt education system.

Multiculturalism is just the new sound-bite term designed to become the PC term which will lead to Nationalism being outlawed. We can very easily remain Nationalistic, proud of Britain whilst equally welcoming and enjoying other cultures. Diversity is good. But Multiculturalism doesn't and shouldn't mean the eradication of Nationalism.

The elites are purposefully flooding Europe with millions of people from other cultures. This is being done to force the Multiculturalism concept through. To bring so many foreign cultures into a country such that it then HAS to cater for that culture instead of those foreigners, coming to integrate and gel with the customs, laws and traditions of that country.

I don't want these countries to lose their heritage and identity. The Greeks have a fantastic history and identity. They have progressed the world greatly in the past. I love the passion of the Spanish, the gusto of the Italians. I love the eccentricity of the Swedes and their fantastic design.

Nationalism is good. Understanding what makes each country great, respecting its history, past struggles, conflicts, disasters and achievements.

To see a bunch of corrupt overly wealthy elites building a conveyor belt on which to place everyone so that they go through the "identity neutering" machine is both sad and tragic. They are trying to build a new nation of "nothing" people whom they can control and dictate to. They have already failed utterly, disastrously to try and make the Euro fit all countries. It has destroyed Greece, Italy, Spain and others and Britain has had to shell out £millions to help bail them out. Thank God we didn't take the Euro.

Thank God for Brexit !
