Re: New Zealand Earthquake

I hope not Meg, but all I have is the notification above. I haven't seen or heard anything anywhere else.

edited. Just read the article quickly. A lot of damage in stores and homes, and cracks in roads. Not read anything about loss of human life, thankfully.

Christchurch again - those poor people - not that long since their last one! Nasty things, earthquakes.

Re: New Zealand Earthquake

I shall be going to Sth Island in a little over three weeks to spend Christmas with some of my Grandkids. I've not heard anything from them yet but they are much further south (Timaru) than where the earthquake hit. There are now stories of a Tsunami so I won't be going to bed until I make contact.

Re: New Zealand Earthquake

Echoing Meg's sentiments! Hope all are safe and well.

My friend lives in Wellington and I've messaged her on FB, asking if she's ok, and sending my best wishes to them all.

I saw the damage in Christchurch for myself, when we had overnight stops there on my tour. Very sad. Such a beautiful country.
