I think that is a hornet but could be wrong. I know it was very big and was caught while crawling on our kitchen window. It was alive at the time it was photographed. I eventually let it go in the garden but it died where I left it.

I don't know for sure what the green insect is. Just a green grasshopper I think. It was in our garden in Surrey.

Interesting photos mart and Malcolm. I like to see insects, they have some wonderful colours and shapes, unless itīs cockroaches of course, even the thought of those makes me feel ill.

I think it's one of those dreaded Vine Weevals that ear the plant roots to death.

It's not a vine weevil Mups ... I don't know what it is though.
It was on our hotel steps one morning in Dubrovnik last year.
