A little house on the prairie?

Perhaps you already live in your ideal home
but given a choice what type of home would you choose to live in?

I'm always impressed by big houses but my choice would be a modest but modern apartment..with a balcony overlooking the sea

Yes, l would also love to live by the sea.... l wonder if this is an old people thing to want to live by the sea?!!
Or maybe, living by the sea is like going back to the womb where we were surrounded by water!

It could be Art.
I think a lot of it is the association with childhood holidays and happy memories.
Plus the sound is lulling (mostly!)
And as an artist I definitely notice the almost liquid quality to the light in places by the shore.

Re: A little house on the prairie?

maggie and milly and molly and may
E. E. Cummings, 1894 - 1962

10

maggie and milly and molly and may
went down to the beach(to play one day)

and maggie discovered a shell that sang
so sweetly she couldn't remember her troubles, and

milly befriended a stranded star
whose rays five languid fingers were;

and molly was chased by a horrible thing
which raced sideways while blowing bubbles:and

may came home with a smooth round stone
as small as a world and as large as alone.

For whatever we lose(like a you or a me)
it's always ourselves we find in the sea
