... who is munching left over sweets from last night !!

Thankfully no-one knocked at my door - they would have gone empty handed if they had - but some of the houses in the street put Pumpkin Lanteerns on their gate posts to show they were 'trick or treat' friendly.

My daughter said that 'Trick and Treaters' will only go to a house with a pumpkin on show? I have never heard this before.

No sweets here either.
Last time kids knocked on my door was decades ago and I just jumped out at them and said boo and they ran off.
I hadn't even got my make-up on so can't think why.

I noticed quite a few youngsters out last night but accompanied by an adult for safety. A canny idea putting out lanterns, (bring back the turnip lantern), only seen one lad doing penny for the guy, so rewarded his enterprise.

No leftover sweets but a couple of Oatmeal biccys.

Ah ...penny for the guy ... do what I do and tell the kids you'll only cough up if they know who Guy Fawkes was.

You can save a mint that way. Very few kids have any idea.

A man l know told me, he answers the door in the nude and they soon disappear!

None here, it's very dark in this corner so I expect they were scared, plus there's my reputation to consider!
The pit with vipers and the bear traps worked a treat too!
I'll have to eat all the Haribo myself, what a shame!
