Are you Happy?

When we say that we are happy are we, or are we just content?

Happiness is a variety of things which
include Money, Social life, Well being,
fullfillment etc. so are you really happy?

If you had more money would it make you happy?
If you had more time on you hands, would
that make you happy?
If you did not have a care in the world would
that make you happy?

There are lots of people with loads of money and
yet they are not happy.
There are ppeople with loads of time on their hands
but they are not happy.
There are loads of people without a care in the world
and they are not happy.

I am lucky enough have no money, time or care
problems so what more could I ask for?

Nothing of great importance.


I am more than content with my life and surroundings
so does that make me happy?.

I think so, but are you really happy?

I don't remember when I last had a 'good to be alive' moment, to be honest.

I'm content. Could always be happier tho - but couldn't everyone?

Sometimes waves of happiness wash over me - sometimes it is sadness. Most of the time I am ... just me.

I`m more content now than at any other time in my life , but sometimes something wonderful happens that just overwhelms me with sheer joy and happiness .

I think true happiness only ever comes in brief snippets and its contentment that gets you through the rest of the time , no ?

I agree with you, I honestly think that some people, though content to certain standards, think they need more to make them happy.
We all go through life having our ups and downs and most wishing they had more money to go out and enjoy life.

Enjoying life costs nothing, it is the standard of enjoyment that costs money.
Jetsetting around the world, owning a large Yacht, owning a Rolls Royce cost money but does it really make a person more content and Happier?

Well today I am happy. We are just back from a couple of days away to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.

Jenny could not eat or drink but she looked radiant as she relaxed in the garden,sat on a little train on one of those restore branch lines or just floated around in the swimming pool.

And not a single cross word between us either on the way,there,or on the way back.

Yes I am happy. Have all I need, comfortable house, lovely family, wonderful friends and of course the dogs. I am lucky enough to be fit and healthy (touch wood) and look on the bright side most of the time, and of course I have my Mazda MX5 for those wonderful sunny days like today.
