Nice photo Mart....the canal looks a bit high as though it will swamp the path soon, or is it my eyesight?

I think it is just the angle of the shot Pesta. The level is about how it always is. There are lots of sluices that can be opened if the water level does get too high but traditionally, the Basingstoke Canal can run a bit short of water if anything.

Actually, I thought the same. I am also surprised there doesn't appear to be any railings or anything to prevent folks and/or animals falling in?

It is a very nice photo though Mart.
