Am I only one didn't know this ?

Heard on the radio the other day a tip to keep shoe laces done up, been doing it since Thursday on Gracie's and my shoes and it works !

Tie them left handed, so left over right not right over left. It's a bit fiddly being right handed but getting easier each day.

Laces stay tightly in their bow all day !

It's a revelation a miracle !

But why does it work ?

Can't work that one out at all.

Its because you're tying them the opposite way to the earth's rotation which keeps them tight.

No, not at all.

Those living in The Southern Hemisphere have to tie them right over left to be effective.

I needed this tip years ago, i can hardly tie mine now due to no feeling in my finger tips.

That's ok for us oldies but it's important to teach children to tie laces IMO and this is great for them, they need never learn right handed so it will come as normal for them.

Re: Am I only one didn't know this ?

I find laces very difficult these days as my fingers get more arthritic, so I tend to stick to slip ons or trainers with Velcro straps.
