Re: Say one thing
When I was in my twenties and living in digs, the landlady went away for the weekend.
She had a gorgeous daughter around my age and we had a thing for each other.
We naturally took advantage of the situation and were sharing her mother's king size double bed....
In the early hours of the morning the girl sat bolt upright in bed and said in a loud voice 'My mother' .... and I was out of bed in a flash thinking she had come home early....'My mother' she said
'Says one thing and then does another' and then promptly went back to sleep.
She hadn't told me that she was prone to sleep walking and talking in her sleep....I lied awake for the rest of the night !
Whenever I hear that expression now I have to smile
