Some positive points of Ageing

I saw a few ideas today on the positive side of getting older -

1. You're less concerned about holding your stomach in.

2. You can finally buy comfortable shoes.

3. Your children take YOU out to dinner.

4. Your secrets are safe with your friends, because they won't remember.

5. Your children don't expect big presents.

6. You can retire!

True ey?

Oh yes, I saw your picture of those big drawers.

I've never worn anything like that, I'm sure I couldn't breathe with them on! Also, not sure if it would improve my love life or finish it off.
Wouldn't it be easier to just find a nice dress or whatever that discreetly hides any dodgy bits?

Re: Some positive points of Ageing

I found these! Mups

You can sleep anytime or anywhere, maybe.

You can drive slow and not be honked at or shot at, maybe.

You can forget to zip up and nobody cares, maybe.

You can reread books and magazines because by the time you get to the end you have forgotten the beginning.

Soup stains don't bother you anymore.

Every day is a holiday.

You're able to buy the early-bird special and get a senior citizen's discount on other things.

People are mostly polite to you even if you are ornery.

If you forget something, it's thought you're having a senior citizen moment.

You remember the good stuff and forget the bad.

If the noise next door bothers you, you can take out your hearing aid.

The doctors and nurses are always understanding and nice.

Well there you go Art.
Perhaps it's not all bad getting older. We just need to look on the bright side.

Re: Some positive points of Ageing

This is a modified list of one I found on the interweb thing a very long time ago, it does include some already mentioned but I am too old and lazy to edit them out:

Advantages of being over 60 years old

01. There is nothing left to learn the hard way.

02. In a hostage situation you are likely to be released first.

03. No one expects you to run--anywhere.

04. People call at 9 pm and ask, did I wake you?

05. People no longer view you as a hypochondriac.

06. Kidnappers are not very interested in you.

07. Things you buy now won't wear out.

08.You can eat supper at 4pm.

09. You can live without sex but not your glasses.

10. You get into heated arguments about superannuation.

11. You no longer think of speed limits as a challenge.

12. You quit trying to hold your stomach in no matter who walks into the room.

13. You sing along with the music in the shopping mall.

14. Your eyes won't get much worse.

15. Your investment in health insurance is finally beginning to pay off.

16. Your joints are more accurate meteorologists than the ABC weather forecast.

17. Your secrets are safe with your friends because they can't remember them either.

18. Your supply of brain cells is finally down to manageable size.

19. You can't remember who sent you this list.

Hi

Everything gets cheaper, from haircuts to fishing club memberships.

Next year I can join the Old Fogeys fishing matches on Thursdays.

All good stuff.
