Food/drink you like

I like junk food but knowing it is bad for me restrict it in my diet.

Liquorice (good quality stuff)
Milk chocolate
date/malt loaf
white bread as a treat, we usually have brown
fruit cake
crumpets
croissants
muffins
beef, lamb, chicken, pork
white fish/ prawns/crab/lobster
whisky, sherry, wine, in strict moderation
Tea
Instant coffee (only two cups a day in the morning)

Re: Food/drink you like

I cannot afford lobster, can take most types of booze apart from Limoncello nd that most disgusting drink -Retsina.

That takes me back to student days when rich young ladies who had been to Greece? insisted it was THE drink to have with a kebab.

Maybe in Greece but on a cold night in Leeds in the 70s I would have prefered paint stripper

I have never tasted oysters, but ormers are fantastic in a casserole, not that I have had one of those in years, not something found in the UK.

Re: Food/drink you like

Not a great lover of food as such, i.e. big meals, but have a terrible sweet tooth so love all chocolate, cakes etc. plus most fruit especially:
Cantaloupe melon
Bananas
Raspberries
Strawberries
Black grapes
Watercress
Tomatoes

Cheese
Almonds and walnuts
Brown rice
Cold chicken
Trout

water and loads of mugs of tea.

Actually above is mostly my diet. Boring I know but pretty healthy. Don't like alcohol except champagne. My husband used to have a whisky every night and the smell of that really turned my stomach.

And spare a thought for Jenny(my wife) who cannot eat or drink.

Last night she made me a couple of tomato flans-home grown tomatoes, home grown herbs..........and all she could enjoy was the aroma.
